
Pop has a leg up in popularity because you can guarantee anyone playing M&B mods likes the base game and Pop is not a radical overhaul of mechanics that people might not like, complexity isnt automatically something people want.

And from what I have seen in let's plays the late game just gets even more tedious with stuff like having to manage the power of commoners, clergy though randomly giving money to your chancellor. And it has some questionable descions, like clash of Kings style random events, getting the senile trait because I didn't have thousands of gold on hand for a random event just killed my motivation to play the mod. Nova Aetas is a great technical achievement but frankly I didn't actually like any of those added system and if you don't like that stuff the mod really doesn't have that much going for it.ĭoing craftsman stuff for example just felt grindy without the fun of battle.
